REMEMBERING THE PAST... CELEBRATING THE PRESENT...|
WHILE LOOKING TO THE FUTURE
Hartford High School Alumni is a non-profit membership organization, created to work for the education and common good of Hartford High School and its Alumni. The driving force behind the association is to promote education and school loyalty by providing financial resources. We also enable and encourage Alumni to maintain contact through annual social events. We consider anyone who ever attended Hartford-Midland Schools Alumni.
The Hartford Alumni Association was formed several years ago for the purpose of providing an Annual Reunion of Hartford High School Alumni. In the mid 30-s and early 40's a large number of Alumni moved to California. The tradition for alumni to return to Hartford on Mother's Day weekend to renew old friendships was the foundation for today's celebration. John and Eva Findlay were instrumental in promoting the reunion in these years and were later joined by the classes from the 1950's. We are now enjoying the classes from the 1960's which have brought new energy to the annual event.
It became evident from the beginning that in addition to the reunion we needed to develop an Alumni Scholarship Program. The goal of the program is to reward highly qualified students who are in need of scholarship money to continue their education. Currently we provide 2 four-year scholarships each year. The Alumni Scholarship Fund was set up as a non-profit organization to provide the means for non-taxable gifts to be made to this fund by Alumni and friends of the school.
You joined a community for life on the day you entered Hartford High School. The pride, loyalty and relationships that you established will long outlast your student days. So stay connected for life as a member of the Alumni Association. When you join, you help build a stronger school, and a more powerful alumni network through your participation in events like reunions, student scholarships, and all the other activities associated with your membership.
